Any debt is bad debt. Visa provides the same protection to both debit AND credit cards so no worries there either. The consumer is always slave to the lender.

I generally follow the richest man in Babylon rules which doesn't address credit cards specifically, but i believe it falls in the 70% of living expenses. If you create debt as a living expense it can't fall into the 20% toward debt.

Europeans : tf is a credit card. (In Europe most of the time you have something called a consumer loan where the bank just add whatever money you asked for on your main account and you still pay with a debit card.)
