Interesting. I just arrived in Japan and I am staying in a capsule hotel in Tokyo Narita, at a pretty good price. I am actually driving all across Japan in a rented micro camper van and documenting my journey. This lets me save money on hotels ..

Just used AirBNB in Europe. Great apartments at half the hotel price in the center of town. Great App. Highly recommend.

Dear Sonia, I've just recently discovered your channel and YOU SAVED ME! I am traveling from Belgrade Serbia to Rome Italy, and then from Rome to Ancona, but the problem is that my flights are not connected. Do you think it is possible at the check in to make them send my suitcase straight to ancona, since all flights are by the same company?

I had a bad experience with Hotel Tonight.  After I found a great price and was in the middle of booking there was a note that said there was going to be an additional "resort fee" when I check in.  VERY VERY unhappy with it.

I have used hotel tonite app a few times and so far I have had good results. We are going to Barcelona in August.... Having a hard time finding a hotel for one night for a family of 5.... Any suggestions?

I've been using booking.com a lot lately. I'm kind of hesitant about using airbnb though some of my friends use it.

Hotels Tonite had only very expensive hotels every time I checked.  Hostel World has been great.  The Boston Hostel is great, same with Paris.  Many of these apps advertise things that are not available and try to sell you on a more expensive place.  The star rating system seems to be meaningless.  Many 5 star hotels don't have balconies, and some 2 star hotels do.  It seems like more stars mean more isolation from the locals.

Booking.com is my favorite. They also have mobile app.
