If I had to do what I do for my identity and what I believe about myself (because of child trauma), I wouldn't do anything.
But because of Christ, because I surrendered to God, allowing myself to be a tool in God's hands, I keep going and I put myself outside. I finally understood who I am and what is my purpose 🙏

When I read this in Mr. Wallace's book it blew me away. It reminded me of all the times I had lost jobs, relationships, etc and how it had shook me. I realized that all other ground but the Rock is sinking sand. Even my name is not how God knows me, all that matters is my identity of being in Christ. ❤🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️

I got redundant from my job recently and never knew that I had so much of my identity associated with it. I was so shocked and was glad God showed me this so that I can realign. On Christ the solid rock I stand, all others are sinking sand.

That actually makes much more sense than putting our identity in something that can change. In terms of imagery, would you rather stand on solid ground, or an unstable ground? That's how I understood it.

My wife and I have been learning about the identity that we have in Jesus. There is so much freedom to do God's will when we remember that our identity is in Jesus and not the opinions of our flesh.
Jesus has no opinions, He has Truth because HE is The Truth.

Not until you become Christian to you realize how cursed we are. No matter how often we relinquish our pride it always comes back. So our being is kind of like a lawn and the weeds from other lawns always find their way back to ours and we just have to keep on fighting. Abandoning pride. You are not better than anyone else. You are not GOOD because you are a Christian, you are a Christian because you are not GOOD.
