Thanks so much for reviewing this. : ) <3 It's a shame that even with a good cast and classic characters it still isn't very good. :/ I was most surprised to hear that the visuals are so dull. The trailer and the posters I seen made it seem so bright and colorful.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it! Personally, I loved this movie! I even saw it in the cinema twice! But of course, I do respect your opinion. Just for confirmation, the character you talk about is Slugworth, not Slughorn. Maybe you were thinking of Horace Slughorn from Harry Potter?

Honestly I really liked this movie overall. Granted, I’ve only seen it once at the cinemas when it first came out and haven’t bothered rewatching it since. I don’t tend to rewrite a lot of movies nowadays unless if it’s an older one I’m really nostalgic for. I can understand why you weren’t a big fan of it. There’s certainly aspects of it that easily could’ve been better. Timothee Chalamet is such a tremendous actor and has really come into his own in the last couple of years. It would be nice if there was a sequel to introduce the other Oompa Loompas. I think my biggest complaint about this movie is how Hugh Grant’s Oompa Loompa, the only one in this movie didn’t come into the movie until about the 50 minute mark roughly. I did time it. I do often look at my watch for certain movies when they start and when certain elements appear and reappear for example with the new Snow White live-action movie. But regardless I felt they could’ve done more with Hugh Grant’s character given how much promotion he had in the trailers and all that sort of thing. I could be biased on that.
