Yay they fixed it! This was actually the animation it had for years, they either simplified it or it got bugged at some point earlier this year, I want to say start of season 12. I'm so happy it's back, I was so sad when it disappeared

Fun fact in the Sea of thieves Season 13:official content update video you can see at 5:08 minutes that instead of the knife looking like that it is actual white instead black and red.

Actually, the double barrel pistol double shot animation after firing got changed to have more of a lock back, like going way back!

Now if they can do a very small patch update next that adds sextons and star message bottles which would basically be like the riddle quest but they would also be scattered like the coral bottles and could have a dark blue shine that sparkles also when players open the quest wheel to look at the message it would be blank during the day but at night a constellation symbol would appear.

Am I crazy or wasn't this the animation for the watch when the game launched? And then they ended up changing it to the lame version at some point before finally bringing back this classic version this update

This is good because in season 12 I didn't even have the animation. The watch was just always open. So happy about this update
