So funny story about this video - this was suppose to come out yesterday... but literally 2 hours after finishing the upload, Darktide update came.. so, I had to reschedule the upload and move it to today.. I cannot catch a break during this September and if I was covering Space Marine 2 I would have probably exploded from trying to cover the Patch Notes that came out today...

P.S. Stim Pistol video will be a bit delayed because of real-work reasons (I have already done all the numbers and tables, only need to do recording)

The more i watch the gasthrower in action the more i think they should have made it a granade louncher alternative instead of a flamer one.

I tried taking the gas strike and gas grenade into a level 7 bot eradicate last night and it actually worked incredibly well. hitting a drop with the strike or a grenade or two would stop them in their tracks and make them easy pickings. They were also great for closing off choke points.

If the sterilizer/dog breath would leave behind a gas cloud, the use cases for the weapon would increase by a lot and you'd have a use for the gas res armour too.

The nades are wonderful to get groups of bots in a disarray, quite nice as a squad support option

The Dog Breath isn't great for most loadouts but personally I've found that it does great when combo'd with the flamethrower on bugs. It covers what I've found to be the largest weakness of each/ With the flamethrower it is enemies pushing through the flame and hitting you before dying, the gas stops them pretty reliably allowing things like Commanders to be killed when focused and most smaller enemies die very quick to the fire and gas DOTs even when not focused. The GD's biggest downside, the focusing on a single enemy, is negated by whatever they're targeting often dying very soon after it targets.

With both of them on you can stand by a bug breach or chokepoint and kill almost everything that comes through, only needing to worry about heavies which you can either thermite or let a teammate kill them. The only issue I have is when there's a lot of Spewers which require special attention to kill and avoid compared to the relative non threat most enemies become.

One of my favourite ways to use it against bugs is to mix fire and poison. Example: Orbital Gas Strike or the Steriliser, paired with Impact Incendiary Grenades and the laser Rover.

its the best channel to learn about the game mechanics. Other's just say oh what it do blah blah blah. well no shit Sherlock, of course i know what gas nade do.

I need to know the difference between gas nade vs orbital gas (especially the radius), and you are the only one i have seen yet (bilibili included) telling me the difference, not by picture but hard data manner (which is far more easily to estimate, for me at least)

I've started using the Orbital Gas Strike against the bugs quite a lot, dropping it on a breach has been a fairly reliable way of killing most of what comes out, leaving anything hardy enough to survive the gas disoriented long enough for me to deal with it without much hassle. I haven't used most of the stuff in the warbond long enough to form a solid opinion yet since I've been having too much fun using all the old stuff that got buffed.

I dig this warbond but if I were to change one thing about the gas effects it would be to allow the gas effect to last a few seconds longer. This would do two things. For one if you were using it for defensive purposes you can get away a lot easier Second it would give you more extra time to kill the enemies you just gassed.

Once i got a 86+ killstreak with the orbital gas strike+ my sterilizer, gotta be one of my fav weapons. Pairs well with the explo crossbow too IMO

Just focusing on the dog breath alone, they can make the following changes to make it more useful:
1. Make it so that it always targets the closest enemy.
2. Stop spraying when enemy is confused and switches target.
3. Either make the confusion effect more fast on the dog breath or the spread wider than the sterilizer.
4. Have the dog carry a spare tank on the drone itself (can be a ship module upgrade).
For gas weapons as a whole or gas:
1. make them have a lingering cloud, change the lingering time for each weapon, making the grenades last the longest.
2. slight increase on DoT damage
3. Make them stop when confusion kicks after enemy cues an attack.
The weapons don't feel right in the games after the update glow up a lot in the arsenal. They need to look at this because as of now it is neck and neck with polar patriots as the worst warbond. Although I love the intend of having support focused weapons.

Gas grenades are great. I've had great use with them with bot drops, especially the hulks with cannons or rocket devastators just killing their own kind in confusion.

The sterilizer should fire liquid acid at relatively high velocity so that it not only confuses your enemies but also slows them down because of the constant stream of acid that is striking the enemies.

i am definitely going to start trying to do solo contested objectives w gas armor and vitality booster, that sounds fun and i've been meaning to find a good way to use it since it came out

i pretty much got the warbond for the dog and after trying it out after finally getting it this morning i was so disappointed. the sterilizer i at least think is usable despite not being as strong as i hope still, but the dog just. i don't get it at all. i was watching it fail to kill like 3 tiny bugs and it just kept ignoring the ones right in front of me, felt woefully incapable of protecting me vs laser dog while using my erupter

Could you please test the rumors that the Armors with "Extra Padding" (+50 armor) are not working properly?
Players are reporting that in the very recent buffs to how much damage light, medium and heavy armors take that the Extra Padding was forgotten and now is significantly worse than it is supposed to be.

Ive actually used the sterilizer with a lot of success against bugs but its specifically to be a screen, so I sit at the edge of breaches and it slows all the enemies significantly to allow my team to shoot from safety. It also is good to keep chargers misdirected so the team never has to deal with them up close
