I've had the dark area setting for a while now and playing HDR games with this setting to high is like night and day. I almost returned my TV because some games were almost unplayable, now they are awesome.

This update seems to have nearly fixed the vrr flicker issue, it’s there but barely noticeable now, only pops up with a single flash on loading screens. I’ve only tested it on mass effect and overwatch for now though.

i live in israel and the update is not available is my country yet.

i really want to update to fix some issues.
should i download and update manually the firmware update ?
is there any problems that can be from update manually from another country lg website ?

Bought the awesome CX55 a month ago and we here in EU, same as qhat seems rest of the world - Australia, have the dot. 18 FW, but that slider crap dont do Anything for fixing g-sync flicker. I know it's hard as hell for em to fix it. Even POS garbage LCD have it. Only on OLED's we see it more, as the superior perfect blacks. But hey I take that flicker any day over vs the CX, my PG279Q with g-sync module = perfect VRR with no flicker!
OLED just rules, and this is my first OLED, and safe to say - will never ever go back to POS LCD again.

Frikking love my CX and it blows me away every night when gaming or watching movies. It's so superior words cant do it justice. I love it 💪🏽😁

Here in Germany I also got the .21 update this week. Many unmotivated restarts of the TV since then. During Xbox via HDMI and during integrated Netflix app. Really annoying :(

I dont know if it's just me but I've noticed the near-black VRR flicker only seems to affect some games. For example it's very noticeable in Outriders and MLB The Show but in Mass Effect Legendary Edition I dont see any flicker at all, and that game has quite a bit of near-black areas where flicker would be evident. I wonder why that is?

Thanks for the update - I'll look out for that on my CX. Just wondering if they mean game mode, when they say 'Input related setting', as I know that game mode reduces input lag.
