The best way to get a representative sample is to us a random sample. Moving beyond simple random sampling techniques, we learn other probability samples such as the stratified random sample, cluster sampling, and systematic sampling. We also learn about non-probability sampling such as convenience sampling and judgment sampling. We conclude with best practices for sampling.
