Excellent and to the point analysis that is your signature style. Nice that you put figures in USD as well as it allows a comparison with other nations. Around 2 to 2.5% GDP allocated for defense is a must for us or else we will find ourselves unprepared like Germany, found out one day!

Two questions.

1. I presume ammo is a part of the revenue expenditure. How much is it and how does it compare with the previous years. We read that even superpowers run out of ammo!!

2. There is an increase of 6.5% for capex. Is that number with or without inflation. If it is the later, isn't it too less?

Your comments please.

Well done for your detailed analysis for defence from overall union budget. I am glad to see you put out figures in Indian currencies model like lakh and crores instead of usa billion figures . This will help Indian viewers a lot to understand the figures more easily .

We should keep increasing Defence Budget by 10-12% every year. by 2030 it’ll almost be doubled.
