Beginning in May of 2000 my first five phones or so were flip phones. I ordered a Z Flip 3 and I'm excited in anticipation of it arriving at the end of the month. I really haven't been this excited to get a phone since the Sanyo SCP-5500 was introduced eighteen years ago. Thank you for your review.

Just ordered mine from Amazon... excited to get it. I always loved the compactness of flip phones and ability to carry them in my pocket or small purse. Glad that the new phones are now compact, hope this trend continues.

It's a nice upgrade (I already have mine on order), but I can already see areas of improvement for future versions. The future definitely looks bright for the Flip series.

I Remember those flip phones from 2005 which we had as kids. Smaller than a flat chunky 6' flagship smartphone. The fingerprint reader should be built into the screen (2021). Wonder how long those folding screen little protectors will last and if they will come of easily, especially with what goes on in our pockets (wallet, keys, pens, etc). But it's awesome to see Samsung AGAIN bring out flip phones. Yay!

It's almost a year am using the Z flip 1 and am glad to see and say it's indeed a head Turner and neither the camera nor the Battery has let me down...its just a fresh wind in the mobile market arena...love from India..

Since it is a phone Samsung is trying to promote as more mainstream, a fast-charging brick should have been included given the premium price and the fairly low battery capacity. Everything else is an improvement over previous models.

They have to make the front display always on in some low power mode. Will be interesting to see if the display will survive daily use for a year. Does Samsung have free screen replacement as before?
