A Tour of Our Airbnb in Valladolid, Yucatan!

For our 5th location in Mexico, we headed east from El Tejar, Veracruz to the Pueblo Mágico of Valladolid, Yucatan. Our Airbnb was a single-bedroom home, with no hot water or any storage space, but it was spacious and located in a safe location that was walking distance to everything! We'll head to the mercado for some produce and the main jardín for a quick overview of the area.

Once you are at a permanent place, buy some diatomaceous earth (for the ants, roaches, scorpions, etc.). I sprinkle it around the door and windows once every two weeks or so and I haven't had any critters since. I also have a cover for every single drain, both shower floor and sinks (I think some were coming up through them).

Really appreciate how you are sharing your journey of sampling various places in Mexico. I really like the premise and plus it is a huge value to all of us contemplating a move to Mexico. Gina is killing with the video production. Love the beginning zoom in and zoom out of the geo-map. Plus get a kick out of the walking videos. There is no 3rd person shooting this so I assume it is via drone, but for the life of me I cannot see Gina controlling the drone. Glen from Foster City, CA.

The gorditas looked good, the produce you bought looks fantastic, the view of the town from the drone was wonderful! The Airbnb looked cute, that stinks about the hot water though, glad that you guys handled it well.

I stayed in Valladolid for a couple of weeks. I would concur the price you paid was quite high. Overall it's a charming town.

Hi Guys; Water pressure is my number one issue, I can even deal with a cold shower somewhat. Always nice when there is cold beer in the fridge when You arrive, I have had that happen several times BIENVENIDOS. Shame the cenote was closed, that would have been the cat's meow as far as location goes. Have to agree with you seems a little overpriced for what it clean is always a huge plus.

We are staying in an Airbnb that we had to buy supplies for, ac filter, dish soap, scrub brush, cleaning supplies, wash all the towels and sheets, purchased cookware and air purifier just to be comfortable for a month since it's non refundable completely.

I think the price was high as well, furnishings were lacking. Thank you for being honest, with all the taxes and fees we pay to stay hosts need to step up a bit. A toilet seat at least 😂😂😂

What's the trick to not flushing paper when they don't have bidets? Bidets would be extra great in those situations.
