PDX, very informative video. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am starting down the Suzuki Sidekick road this weekend. I am buying a 1997 Sidekick JLX Sport.

Same exact issue with my 1997. This video and pt.1 came as a HUGE help. Looks like I need to get to making a smoke machine.

Thank you PDX for your informative video. Do you mind providing more information about the new EGR valve you used. I had a hard time find one like the new one you obtained even though you mentioned it was from the "next-Gen vehicle."
I found one on Amazon for $99 that says: "Garage-Pro EGR Valve Compatible with 1999-2004 Chevrolet Tracker, Fits 1999-2008 Suzuki Grand Vitara, 2002-2007 Aerio & 2002-2006 XL-7" but it does not appear to be the same as your new one. Thanks so much!!

Great video. I’ve spent months trying to find a vacuum leak. Hoping this works 😂 Is there a specific spot to have the smoke machine placed or connected to? TIA 🙏🏼

What spray are you using ? Another question, where can I purchase an OBD1 scanner for a Sidekick 93 ?

My 98 chevy tracker is running at around 1100rpm idle, when it normally does a 800-850rpm, definitely less than 1000, could that be a vacuum issue?

What size clamps did you use for your vacuum lines? I can't seem to find anything small enough.

Where did you order the EVAP purge valve? I have a 1996 Tracker and can't find the part. I looked at next gen and can't find that one either. Sad face..

Did you try shooting some WD-40 into the valve ports? I have done that with great success and have been able to revive many solenoid valves that way.. my name is Reese and I live in LHC Az.. contact me if you want and we can discuss this..
