Music production challenge day 8/30: Tom Petty - Wildflowers. 🌸 This is to everyone who felt a bit like a wildflower at some point.

I've discovered this song on a tough week in my life two years ago during a breakup and a new beginning (and ending), and I felt that these lyrics are so one of a kind and so perfect - and that I was supposed to discover them exactly on that week.

What's amazing is that Tom Petty wrote them at a very late stage in his career, (1994) and I read that Rick Rubin who was the producer, just had a conversation with him and Tom told him that he thought his songwriting magic is gone.

Then on one of his evening home he writes this one and bring it back to the studio...

It went straight into my "best songs ever" playlist hahaha.

BTW my line "the wildflowers in the springtime, oh they grow so tall" in The Springtime of Your Life refers to this very song. (:
