1. Caspases: A family of cysteine-aspartic acid proteases that play a central role in the execution of apoptosis.

2. Bcl-2 family proteins: A group of proteins that regulate apoptosis by either promoting (Bax, Bak) or inhibiting (Bcl-2, Bcl-xL) cell death.

3. TNF receptors: Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptors, such as TNFR1 and TNFR2, can induce apoptosis upon binding to their ligands.

4. P53: A tumor suppressor protein that can initiate apoptosis in response to DNA damage or cellular stress.

5. Mitochondria: Play a critical role in the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis, releasing cytochrome c and other pro-apoptotic factors.

6. Apaf-1: Apoptotic protease-activating factor 1, which helps activate caspases.

7. Fas/FasL: Fas receptor and its ligand, FasL, can induce apoptosis upon binding.
