I forgot to mention nuts and seeds. I'd take them out after fruits! 🎉

Hi buddy, I guess you have only done this for a few years. Well, I'm been eating 90% carnivore for the last 40 years. Never liked veg as a child - peas. sweet corn and onions I could just about tolerate, but nothing else. Also I used to find anything sweet made me feel sick. So now, I have the occasional raw milk in coffee and tea, and a few veg a couple of times a week. I am slim fit and healthy. Am the same weight for 40 years. Blood work is outstanding. Here's the freaky part. I've never been ill - nothing, even worked 30 years teaching in a high school and not a single day off. Just so nice to see what I've done for decades is now in the news - Never could tell people what I did as they would think I was some kind freak. Always ate only one meal a day - never hungry in the morning, could just about manage coffee. Now it seems that OMAD is something that people do - I could never tell people this!.

I just watched your interview with Dr. Berry and was so impressed that I had to come over here and support you with a subscription! I don't have any gut issues but have been dabbling with carnivore, love my salad greens and broccoli, and can't decide whether to go strict carnivore. I'm experimenting with that but meanwhile - BRavo for going public with your story and helping probably millions of people. Best wishes for you.

I’m so glad I found your channel! I also have an ileostomy and it’s been all but impossible to find another ostomate talking about this way of eating. Thanks for the vid 💚

I’m watching this eating steak and eggs my man. 3 days in. Not a sign of keto flu. Just hungry mid day. Think I need to increase the breakfast amount

Excellent!! I would also add, perhaps at the end of the process, eating the meat progressively closer to raw. The only thing that's better for a human than cooked meat is raw meat! In fact, I've confirmed a thousand times that I feel euforic when I eat raw fat and raw red meat (like in carpaccio, tartare, etc.), and that when I eat meat raw, I drink a lot less water throughout the day. Raw meat contains a lot of hydration, of the best kind, and it also has a lot more of those essential water-soluble vitamins! Oh, and it's a thousand times softer, juicier, and more tender than cooked meat!

TIP: If you take pieces of beef fat and just sear them on the outside on a very hot pan (leaving them raw, or almost raw, on the inside), and then chill them in the fridge for at least 3 hours, when you finally eat those pieces of fat the mouthfeel is like cream cheese! I find it incredibly good!!

Great advice. I have been this way for 7 years so I don’t need the advice, but I do like the growing community learning and changing their lifestyle to better health. Happy New Year.

138 days carnivore so far! My gallbladder was removed along with half my colon in 2008, so eating enough fat is hard for me. Too much or the wrong type can have me up in the night (soft fat like chicken and pork goes through)! I had an ostomy for 6m post surgery and got on fine with it. When it was reversed I had so many issues and pain! NHS were useless, and in retrospect cancer treatment has caused more issues than the cancer ever did. Still, thank goodness for youtube! Thank you for the work you put into your content, loved the piano the other day. 👌

I’ve just watched another YouTuber discuss you and your surgery/carnivore diet. You are an amazing person Kent. Huge respect to you man. I’m thinking of going carnivore now. I’m 57 with a few health issues and need to improve my diet regardless. My question/concern is how do you and others find the workability of living on the carnivore diet. It makes total sense when discussed. But the cost of meat, the practicality of consuming meat when you work excessively like I currently do, social events, dinner parties and the list goes on where their will be times when eating in this manner just will be unpractical to out right impossible. How have yourself and others gotten around this? Many thanks for sharing and I have just subbed. 🙏

I could not have done it this way. Feels too much like Weight Watchers..do this, but not that. What worked for me was a wake-up call from a podcast that condemned people who had let themselves go. These times are tough, and we will be challenged beyond what we can anticipate. Can’t control my circumstances but I CAN take control of my choices. Stopped carbs cold turkey, replaced oatmeal with eggs and bacon, salads with meat and removed the demon sweets that had taken me to over 200 lbs. Success was instantaneous and the pounds just fell off. As I felt better I did more and muscles replaced the saggy tissue. If the motivation comes from an honest evaluation of what your current diet has brought you, make the change and make healthy choices. So I can’t influence the crazy world around me, but I can be fit and joyful enough to take a stand. And 60 lbs down, I am standing.

Hi Kent! Nice videos!! FYI: occasional sweetness/carbs are brain neuro-protective, i.e. insulin is neuroprotective, so once the insulin resistance is fixed, one can have a little bit of sweet potato or local honey or so to heal and protect your brain, perhaps up to once or twice a month. That is how sweets work under natural human nature and science (as ketosis is human natural metabolic state). If one needs to be hibernated for some months, yes! of course! feast a lot of fruits and carbs with lots of meat and fat! LOL This is another natural human survival mode against seasonal changes, draught, or famine/war/political changes. So the food must be local, seasonal, altitudinal, and latitudinal. If one needs electrolytes to supplement being a carnivore, that means missing something, good salts, good water, some seasonal wild fruits, e.g, cucumber without the skin or wild watermelon, etc. This all depends on how much electrolytes you use and lose. A good example is Dr. Paul Saladino in a very tropical hot humid climate/environment (Costa Rica) will lose a lot of electrolytes with his additional activities like surfing, so he will need more electrolytes, i.e. animal meats and seafood may not enough to cover the loss of electrolytes. As humans, we shall be flexible and wise before any circumstances; however, we are omnivores and more carnivore-like, and our staples should be animal-based when we want to be or when we are active. When nature is active, we shall also be active; when nature slows down, we also used to slow down, but that is not the case anymore. 🥰

I’ve found personally that reducing everything a bit at a time works for me. Instead of just dropping all of X each week. Just my experience though. Great info as usual.

Thanks for the primer. Your explanation is clear and succinct. I appreciate the plan layers put in simple steps.

everyone is different and for some people slow transition is the way but honestly if you are in reasonable health just rip the band aid off go straight to meat only and just eat heaps to offset cravings, will be rough for a week or two then after that you will be fine and way less planning thinking and quicker results, also feeling the stark contrast i think has value down the line when you might get tempted to go back to eating the poison.
