I don't think people realize how GOD, uses the position of a politician to bring about HIS WILL. Please study the political position of Pharaoh during the time of the exodus of Egypt. Roman's 19:22-23. GOD raised that particular pharaoh, for that time and place. HE is who HE is. Not what we want HIM to be. HE is SOVEREIGN, there is no one LIKE HIM.
