Includes Paid Promotion - Don’t waste your money on trendy pans.

Buying a cookware set is a BIG decision. Ideally you're buying the set that you’ll cook on everyday for decades. Your relationship with your pots and pans may outlive other friendships that you have.

But worst case scenario, you buy a trendy pan that you think can solve ALL your problems as you start off on your cooking journey. When the pan fails to do what it promises (conveniently just after the warranty expires), you assume that it's because you're a horrible cook, and you just order take out for the rest of your life.

My goal on this channel is to make cooking easier so that it's more enjoyable for you. And hopefully, that makes your life healthier and more fun. With that in mind, I recommend making the switch to stainless steel. Maybe it starts with just a skillet, or maybe you're ready for a whole set… but buying from a trusted, quality, brand like @hestanculinary will leave you with a pan that can help handle your roughest kitchen failures and help you achieve your greatest kitchen successes.

If you're thinking about an upgrade, check out Hestan’s skillet sale between now and Sept 10. Skillets are 20% off for everyone and tend to sell out quickly, but for just my followers, anything that ISN’T already part of the skillet sale, you can use the code “TRIGGTUBE20” for 20% off.

Stainless steel and cast-iron should cover everything you could possibly need

All I have are enameled steel and cast iron. My grandpa bought them in 1948 and they are still kicking.

Friends don't compare stuff while getting money for one product.

It’s not because we’re friends. This is an advertisement and by law needs to be labeled as such

Him: Don't buy trendy pans.

Also him: Buy my trendy pan.

Enamel pot for braising and stews. cast iron/carbon steel for searing and eggs, stainless for everything else

Yes the hexclad sticks… when you turn the heat up too high to make it look bad in a competitor’s add

I work with high grade stainless steel pans at work, and I have Hexclad at home. I love the Hexclad pans. The demonstration in the video wasn’t very good and even seemed biased since it’s an ad. There’s pros and cons to all products. To anybody looking for new cookware I just want to say - don’t make a decision based on one YouTube short.

This is why when my mom offered to buy me dishes for moving into my first non dorm place in college I specifically looked for the best price stainless steel available to us where we were. (Aafes surprisingly had a great option) I knew stainless steel was gonna last ages, and here I am in my mid 30s still using the same pots and pans from when I 19.

stainless steel is amazing for everyday use. when i invested in a quality one it was a game changer! a cast iron is still my goat for crepes and other not-so-everyday things

Sometimes you just need a nonstick pan, sometimes you want a heavy pan that doesn’t cost $400 for searing. No one pan can do it all.

I have all three.

You can very easily clean cast iron with soap and a (NON STEEL WOOL) sponge without damaging the seasoning.

You can use your nonstick for nonstick things like hassle free eggs and other very sticky foods, leading to a longer life overall. They’re also dishwasher safe but a breeze to hand wash.

Stainless steel pans that are truly dishwasher safe cost an absolute fortune and if you cheap out you will be replacing it before the nonstick coating wears out if you use the dishwasher every time you use it.

My favorite is actually ceramic pans, easy to wash, no peeling from non-stick

My problem with stainless steel is getting the right temperature pre-heating. I use the "water bubble method" to make it non-stick and it works wonders sometimes, but other times it is too hot to put oil and I have almost burnt my kitchen twice, lol. I have a few burnt towels now after stopping various fires coming from my pans. Maybe I just need to practice more? Idk, I'm just scared to use them now, but otherwise it's a great material.

I have a set of cast Aluminum pans that my grandma bought in the 60s and a few stainless steel ones from the 80s. Best pans ever

I love how the only negative you had for non-stick was "if you need oil" which people don't. Non-stick pans don't need oil hence being non-stick. Meaning things don't stick to it

I would argue that a good nonstick pan is worth keeping around for things like eggs and fish. Both are very delicate and very sticky, so Teflon can make cooking them substantially easier. Also the primary reason we cook with oils is that they facilitate better heat transfer from the pan to the food not for lubrication.
