This video reminded me of two books that I remember from that time. 'Chinua Nchebe' and 'No Longer at Ease'. I'm probably going to end up looking to see if I can find them on Amazon. I know my kids would have fun reading them.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention 'Oliver Twist'. I even still have the copy from when I was younger.

Reading is one of the things that I wanted to work on this year. I made it a point to always make time to read. I made a goal to read at least six books this year, and I'm already on my third.

Chinue Achebe is a great writer. I was not privileged to Read his books during my school days . I was cleaning our house one day and found the things fall apart, that was how I was able to read it

Things fall apart is my all time favourite. Maybe watching the TV series brought it alive for me. I remember reading a lot of China Achebe’s other books. And I will certainly love to re read some of them. Chimamanda Adichie is another writer I love, given her younger age, she writes about her present day experience of Nigerian/ African culture. Very intriguing books
