It's actually kinda insane just how much this little mini rework did to revive Ahri as a champion and gave her so many tools that she desperately needed to remain relevant in Season 12. Considering that Ahri was released in Season 2 and hasn't seen a rework of this magnitude in 10 years is crazy. As an Ahri main (starting in Season 4/5), this rework revived my interest in one-tricking her again... and holy hell, it feels so nice to not just be a Charm bot anymore.

Question about level 1 ability choice (from a non-Ahri player): I've always heard taking Q first for the pushing power is best. Is taking W first for level 1 trades worth potentially losing the push advantage?

When I first saw the changes, the major notes I had were that her total burst for landing Charm went down, her damage without landing Charm went up, so my initial thought was probably QoL/net neutral power overall, I underestimated the changes. Coupled with the base stat nerf, I figured that matchups against melee AD assassins would be worse, matchups against the rest would be better. I thought they changes were okay, didn't expect them to make this big of a difference, the healing portion I underestimated, the R charge changes, I didn't think would make as big of a difference, since a lot of the gameplay was more about getting the singular pick before and the fight disengaging. I think I misread the Q mana cost change to be the other way around too.

W at level 1 feels super strong, auto -> W -> auto just gives you such a big lane advantage, I actually think the biggest change was to how smooth the W feels now, it felt clunky for the targeting but that's all changed.

I'm going to expect that they'll be hitting the HP restore and MP costs, and likely the base damage of W at level 1 from 80 -> 70

As an Ahri main, I wouldn't say Ahri is considered the Most "BROKEN" champion. I'd say the rework was necessary, is considered balanced. Great video overall!

I was having the most horrific case of Deja Vu at 1:54 because I remember playing a Bard game with an Ahri mid where *exactly that* happened, but looking at my match history, I can't find it, which makes me wonder what the hell's going on there.

im seeing a lottt of ppl complaining here and its just so funny because Ahri really isnt broken when you think about it. She is simply on par with the most powerful champions in the game now. Irelia, Yasuo, Yone, Katarina, LB, Lux, Zed, Ekko etc. Its true, Riot doesnt know how to balance champs, so in their mind if everyone is broken nobody is. Ahri is simply worth picking now, that was the point of this rework. They notice how many sales she gets, but how NOBODY plays her. People buy her skins and still dont play her, i own ALL of her skins except her prestige and before the rework i havent touched her in like 3 years because why play Ahri when I can play Lux?

The auto targeting of W is broken. Can’t hide behind minion and she does need to land a skill shot. She just walk closer to me and I lose 20% of my hp
