No Wi-Fi? An iPad with a C port or Cellular iPad can work (examples include iPad Air 4 cellular and iPad mini 6 cellular.

After iOS 16 updates the lightning to HDMI adapter doesn’t work.

NOTE: that is what I am seeing all over the internet. I can’t confirm because I use my usb c to HDMI adapter for my iPad Mini 6.

I just bought a HDMI adapter today and I fear it won’t work because I have iOS 16.1.2. I’m hoping that the adapter will work when I update to iOS 16.6 and won’t have the same issue when iOS 17 comes out.

This always works at my home Wi-Fi. It does not work at any hotel Wi-Fi or cellular date. I even tried to stream a Amazon prime movie that I paid for and downloaded to my phone. Amazon will not let it stream via hdmi adapter

It doesn't work with disney plus anymore, It only shows black screen with an audio.. tried 2 different monitors and 2 different HDMI cables :(

I am trying to find a whatever solution for the display of Netflix content from an iPhone on a beamer via an HDMI adapter, but obviously none of the commercial players in this market want this to work! Exactly that adapter which is presented here is attributed with a denial by the dealers (e.g. on Amazon) in the meantime, that it will not work with protected content such as Netflix etc. I suspect that Netflix seems to have a deal with the hardware manufacturers (the expensive hardware….), which have the suitable decoder implemented and sell it for a lot of money! 😢

As soon as I plug the Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter into iPad or iPhone (while Playing Netflix) I get a "Buffering" symbol. I can watch and hear the Trailers on Netflix, but... as soon I push "Play", I get a continuous buffering symbol. (does the adapter think I am trying to pirate?)
We've been searching for an answer for weeks now.
