And NOONE should have to give up coffee or gardening! Sitting in the garden or looking at the garden with a cup of something....there is one of the great pleasures of life. I would give up the lawn, that water and nutrient hog, but my development does not allow it, unfortunately.

You both have made me want to look after our garden. It was my husbands job, but I started growing tomatoes now I am inspired to grow other things. We watch gardeners world and Beechgrove and we enjoy them both but I also like your blogs. If I fail like I have done on many occasions I can watch you and think just try again and get on with it . It’s the trying that counts. Thank you for your inspiration as ordinary gardeners and the encouragement you give to us. Thank-you.

Great little video. A small window into your world. I love my gardens. I now have 4 they are large the smallest being 2ftx30ft the largest 25ftx12ft. Hoping to add an 8ftx16ft next spring.

I couldn’t go back to an apartment (flat) because the people so near would drive me crazier than I am.

If you don’t want to redo your lawn, why not shave it and turn it into a larger rock garden with pretty plants intermixed. Smooth river rock looks good, and the addition of a few plants really sets it off. Sort of a mixture of Mordor and The Shire.👯‍♀️
