0.6%. That was the level of anti semitism under Corbyn. British general population have higher levels of anti semitism than the labour party. Conservatives had 4 times the level of anti semitism in their party compared to labour. But you wud never have known it by watching the British media.

I read Chomsky 20 years ago, and he talked about Israeli right-wingers describing "old fashion" antisemitism (nazism) as less of a threat than opposition to the Israeli occupation. Dead on.

Being british i, ve actually been disgusted by the reaction of british media to this. Two flagship news shows, channel 4 news and bbc newsnight totally failed to give a balanced report on this issue. By balanced i mean they should have queried those making the accusations, their views on corbyn and their allegiances. In the case of channel 4 news they interviewed a 13 yr old girl who blamed corbyn for her being bullued at school because she was jewish. They also interviewed a gentleman who was a prospective conservative m.p. who had set up his own group with strong ties to jewish right wing groups. It also failed to give merit to jewish labour activists who supported corbyn

100% agree that the allegation is disgusting, just like the people making it.
Just a technical aside: _Anti-Semitism is NOT racism, it is anti-jewish-faith._ This is an important distinction.
While I am totally against racism, I am totally fine being anti-religion.
While a person can change their beliefs, a person cannot change their colour.

I've noticed the tendency for some people to use words like, "Jewish" or "Jews" instead of "Zionist, " "Israel" or "Israeli Government, " which I find to be very problematic.. And when I question this I have been told "Who cares?" on a few occasions, and sometimes my comments have been misconstrued as being pro-Israel, pro-neocon, anti-Palestinian, and one time I was even called s "bleep" -ing racist for gently calling this wording into question. So I suppose I agree with Corbyn to some degree when he says this has surfaced in some parts of the progressive left....and I wonder if people here on this thread have experienced this phenomenon, and what they think. Also, if you choose to answer me, please keep in mind that I'm resonating with Aaron, Norman, & Jamie here, all the way.
