As a basis to build this mini indoor pond aquarium I'm using the DOOA Neo Glass Air 30x18x12cm
The Hardscape mainly consists of 3 pieces bogwood Tropica AquaDecor with Hygrophila pinnatifida and Christmas
Or Shop the plants individually
Hygrophila pinnatifida
Christmas Moss
+ Minilandscape Rocks
Further I have used Liquid Super Glue
and Makeup removal pads to secure hardscape in Place
After the Hardscape was in place, I have used Filter Wool pads from Juwel to fill in the gaps from the back and to avoid Soil slipping to the foreground.
(regular and slightly cheaper Filter Wool)
(Juwel BioPads I have used, very convenient)
The Foreground I have filled in with ADA La Plata Sand, my favorite cosmetic sand
And the Background with ADA Amazonia Soil
Now lets get to the overall planting of the diy mini indoor pond. In the back I have planted:
Murdannia keisak
Pogostemon erectus
Hygrophila araguaia
Micranthemum Montecarlo
Eleocharis mini
Marsilea hirsuta
- Amazon .com 🤷♂️
Hydrocotyle tripartita
As for Lighting I first went with the new Twinstar 300CC model, its great but it was too close to the plants, so I have switched to the ADA Solar Mini which is no longer available on the market. However, if you want a cool looking small light, I recommend the ONF Flat Nano which would have been my choice, if I haven't had the vintage Solar mini
The Lighting was set to 12h/day and I have changed 100% water every day for the first week and every second for the second week. From there on I have changed water rather sporadically, but at least 2-3 times per week.
Cheers
