Solving a Differential Equation Using the Laplace Transform

In this video, I demonstrate how to use the Laplace transform to solve a differential equation step by step. We start by transforming the original differential equation using Laplace transforms, apply initial conditions, and work through simplifying and solving the equation to find the solution. Whether you're studying engineering, physics, or pure math, learning how to use Laplace transforms is an essential skill for solving differential equations. You’ll get practical techniques on how to use a table of Laplace transforms effectively when working through these types of problems.

What You Will Learn:

How to solve differential equations using the Laplace transform.
Applying initial conditions in the context of Laplace transforms.
The process of manipulating and simplifying Laplace-transformed equations.
Practical use of a table of Laplace transforms for problem-solving.

pay 60K a year for a private university and this you tube channel is 10, 000 times better than the math professors they have at this "engineering" school

I can't thank you enough for this whole series of laplace transform! I started studying laplace just before the exam day and had no clue about this topic beforehand. I had little or no hope but surprisingly ended up getting a 97 in the exam, which was waaay beyond my expectation! You always got my back through Calc I to Diff Eqn. Again thank you so so much for these supports! You're an emotion for us Patrick!

What's even better than performing inverse laplace transforms is being told that you won't get a laplace transformation table on your next exam! :(

Math would be a lot funner if GPAs and memorization weren't involved.

I learned more about Laplace Transform from watching this one video than I have in all of my previous lectures about it combined! This is magic!

This has literally taught me more than my 3 hr Diff Eqs lecture. Seriously, thank you

just saved my life, missed this lecture. You explain things so much better than my professor.

haha. I remember when I used to think the chain rule was hard. This puts things into perspective.

My professor literally provided these two videos in place of one of his lectures this week in order to explain Laplace Transformations, and I have to say they were much more helpful than the usual lectures.

Your tutorials are phenomenal, they explain what can be sometimes 4/5 lectures worth of learning in minutes. I don't know if you already are, but you would easily be a fantastic lecturer.

Relearning the Laplace Transform for Chemical Engineering Process Control for senior year in university, I had no idea that we would need to use concepts we learned at sophomore year and now I'm doing a crash course on Laplace transforms watching every youtube video available

Terrific series on Laplace transforms!  It was just what I was looking for as a refresher.  Your presentation went to the right depth to satisfy my need with an approach that was smooth and calm.  A notable achievement :)  Many thanks.

Thank you so much, would've been lost without these videos you make.Everytime i look for something math related and find that you made a video on it I instantly relax.
