I only semi liked cruel prince. It was just “ok” but I made myself read the next one and ended up adoring the over all series. There’s lots of political intrigue though so probably still not your thing

Gasp! Percy Jackson is so low!!! (It is my Harry Potter) The movies were okay, but they should have been made when Logan Lerman was 12 so he looked the age. He was a great casting choice, just too old... Oh the plot of Sea of Monsters was so bad, I can't even deal. It doesn't make any sense. It's worse for all the people who read the books first, then watched the movie (we were all hoping for an adaptation as good as Harry Potter and it wasn't that- like half of the plot was followed).
If you think you took forever to read those books, I still have friends who haven't read the books and I've been telling them to read them since 2010/2011!

I will not slap you for Spellslinger getting an 8! I think the first book doesn't truly represent how incredible the rest of that series is, it just gets BETTER, and for it to get better, it can not start at the best.
