COMMON PROBLEM ALERT ❌
Knee Valgus During Lunge

The knee valgus (or knee medial collapse) is one of the most common mistakes during squats and lunges, especially in new trainees that try to lift too much weight.
Knee valgus means the knee moves inward, and the hip abducts and rotates internally.

A variety of reasons can lead to knee valgus:
🔎 Lack of muscle balance, such as weak hip external rotators in contrast to rigid adductors.
🔎 Limited ankle dorsiflexion.
🔎 Excessive pronation at the foot.
🔎 Lack of neuromuscular control in the knee or ankle joints.
🔎 Structural restrictions such as femoral anteversion or coxa vara.

According to research (Wilczyński.B et al., 2020), knee valgus during single-leg movements is considered a risk factor for lower limb injuries.

При нагрузке колено не должно уходить вперед или назад.Строго над пяткой, прямой угол. Это уменьшает нагрузку.Иначе можно нажить проблемы.

The knee you fold must side up a little bit towards the center of the body while the other leg is stretching at the backside .

En realidad lo que está mostrando el vídeo se llama valgo de rodillas. Está mal porque lo correcto es que la rodilla debe quedar alineada con el pie. Este problema es debido al colapso del arco del pie. Se corrige trabajando con bandas que salen la rodilla hacia adentro para que se pueda hacer presión hacia afuera y corregir el problema.

The problem is that if you exercise on one leg you move that leg into the middle to counterbalance your upper body so don't do it you have two legs for a reason
