AFROJACK
Nick van de Wall, (born 9 September 1987), commonly known by his stage name Afrojack,[2] is a Dutch music producer and DJ. He was born and raised in Spijkenisse, Netherlands, just like Vato Gonzalez and Sied van Riel.[3] He was listed as number 7 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's of 2011.[4] His 2010 entry into the poll at number 19 was the highest new entry of that year's list.[5] He is currently ranked at number 9 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's of 2012.[6]
Afrojack's song "Take Over Control," which features Dutch singer Eva Simons, charted in a number of countries. In July 2010, Afrojack created an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1.[7] In December 2010, Afrojack announced, via his website, that he would release an album called Lost & Found. The album was released December 22, 2010. In 2011 Afrojack opened the year by remixing Ian Carey and Snoop Dogg's single "Last Night" to great acclaim. Later on, Afrojack was featured on Pitbull's #1 hit single "Give Me Everything" along with Ne-Yo and Nayer. He also contributed to the single "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé.[8] In January 2012 Afrojack received an European Border Breakers Award.[9]
Afrojack runs an imprint label named Wall Recordings, which has Dutchhouse DJs such as himself, R3hab, and Sidney Samson signed onto the label.
The track "Annies Theme" was first exclusively previewed on BBC Radio 1 by Annie Mac. Afrojack appeared in the studio to talk about it and the single was later released as an extended mix. Despite the name Annies Theme is not tied in with Annie Mac.

In 2009, Eva's song "Silly Boy" gained popularity on the Internet. The song became popular online, generating over 20+ million views. After this success, she signed a worldwide deal at EMI. The song actually started out life as a demo idea for another high profile US female act, and gained much notoriety after Kayne West posted it in his blog, with Eva's vocal, and incorrect credits for the song's performer, Eva Simons.
In mid-2010, Eva & Mike Hamilton (also known as the writing team Topline Ink) wrote the song "Take Over Control". They played the idea to DJ Afrojack, who produced the hit single, which spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Top Dance Airplay Chart, topped iTunes dance charts globally, and gained Platinum status in Australia and certified Gold in the US. The song has become a globally dance crossover anthem, propelling the profiles of both Eva and Afrojack worldwide.
In early March 2012, it was announced that Simons was to join LMFAO in the North American "Sorry For Party Rocking" tour.[2]
On March 20, 2012, Simons premiered her new single, "I Don't Like You", which was released in most countries on March 26 under Interscope Records, however is yet to be released in the UK. The track is produced by Zedd. On July 24, 2012, Simons released her second single, "Renegade" off her debut album. The song was produced by J.O.B and is only released in the US so far.
