I've been a graphic designer for 20 years and frankly, people just don't want to pay us for our skills anymore because they go to Upwork or Canva- so I need to get on this passive income train already. If I hadn't stumbled across your videos, I would still be trying to sell graphic assets that take me ages and so much work to create (hand painted patterns I digitize & clip art.)
I bought PPP and your product image templates. I posted my first of 3 social media template collections less than a month ago, have 3 up now and have made a little under $200 (products are between $3-$25). I was over the moon at first because I was getting a sale every day, but then nothing for a week even though my visits keep climbing. I posted a (really amazing) new template collection 2 days ago and have sold one.

Are these good numbers? I am worried my daily sale week was just due to some ranking boost for new listings. I'm probably pushing myself too hard working on this almost every day trying not to get scared. I keep thinking, "Okay, if I do nothing different from now, my sales won't go up." My visits are around 40-60 per day now, I'm just mystified why my visits and favs are climbing but I'm not seeing more sales. I wish I knew what the "flow" was to this and if things just start gaining more traction over time. (it's hard not to sink into pandemic despair, still!)

(my shop wasn't new- I transitioned from my art POD products to the digital ones so I already had some good reviews and sales. But my POD shop never did very well so I am scared!)

Loved this video! I think that personally my UVP is always a strength for my products given that I'm creating them based on my own experience as a creative professional. So far I've just listed my products on my own website and I get a decent amount of sales/traffic on my own, but I am thinking about potentially listing some of them on Etsy this year, especially the instant downloads like my content planner and my invoice template. Would love to see a video (don't think you have one yet) on the pro's and con's of listing products on your own website vs Etsy. I've always been big on control and ownership of my listings, but I feel like I may be missing out on other customers who haven't found my products because I'm not currently part of a marketplace like Etsy.

Can you all give me your honest opinion as to whether selling digital t-shirt mockups will sell on Etsy, Creative Market, etc as opposed to selling t-shirts with designs on them.  I am torn between the two.  Although I will make more money for one t shirt than I will for one digital t-shirt mockup download, I would love to do the mockups.
I can hardly find any videos on selling digital t-shirt mockups, but plenty on selling digital printables, which is not what I would be doing.
There are a lot of people selling t-shirts with sayings on them, and I know for a fact that most of them are using digital mockups, but I don't know how to find customers.

Good tips and information. Etsy is a highly competitive and saturated with digital products u must have something weird and unique to compete and breaking their algorithms are challenging. You must place ads and build and audience before even starting.

Hi Alissa. I'd like to know if I can use copyrighted terms like Instagram, AirBnb, etc. in Etsy titles, keywords and tags if I'm creating digital templates for the users of those platforms. Etsy's Terms & Conditions would cause me to believe the use of them as prohibited, yet if something is created as platform-specific (a Shopify store template), would also be a necessity. Any advice/knowledge on this?
