I have some of these problems in my hand. The V shape especially. And my fingers always end up splayed out to the side, even though my intention is to follow through completely straight, with basically just the wrist and let my arm follow. But he says here the "rolling of the wrist" is from body movement from energy in the wrong places? But I have literally no body movement at all. I've watched on film many times. I'm a veteran skateboarder, and stand regular footed (left foot forward), and I play darts left handed with my left foot completely parallel to the oche. I'm very comfortable and stable standing sideways to the left. I also keep the ball of my back foot, and toes on the ground for extra stability. I throw 3 terrible darts sometimes and they'll more often than not all land in the 20 anyway. This means I have good alignment, no? I have worked on that too a lot through watching videos, looking down my line with one eye closed (not while actually throwing). So why does my wrist still turn over and my fingers still go out to side. Even when I concentrate mainly on my fingers during the throw. And I've known from the start that the throw should be with the wrist, and not the arm/elbow. Doses anyone know what it could be, without looking at my throw. I can upload of it of someone thinks they help. Thanks. Still a great video btw.

Great analytical advise....biomechanics are basically always the same....but every body is different, thats why there are many different throws. however the basics should always be respected, otherwise you will always limit your game

Great Video Dwayne, really useful tips. I focused on the energy transition, fingers-wrist-elbow. Rolling of the hand is definitely a bad habit of mine. Took it into a match 10mins later and felt more under control. Obviously loads of practice to make it consistent but it's definitely going to help me. Looking forward to the next one!

Cheers for that, really helpful!
I’ve found a lot of Raymond’s twitter advice on practice and preparation very useful, but this practical throw advice is something special.

I’m going to try to keep the tension out of my shoulders now, great piece of info
