Facebook Poll Of People Experiencing Back Pain Using Smart Hula Hoops:

Smart weighted hula hoops can have great health benefits, but not for all people. Hula hooping can require doing repetitive movements, which for some people, especially those with back issues, may cause pain and injury. That's way it's important to talk to a doctor first to see if it's ok to use a smart hula hoop for exercise and weight loss. If your goal is to lose weight, some people have to get to a fitness level first of having a stronger core and body, before using a smart hula hoop. In my experience following my back surgery, smart weighted hula hoops have helped me to strengthen my core and gave me a great exercise raising my heartrate. When I tracked my weighted hula hoop workout using a Fitbit exercise tracker watch, I got some great results.

honestly currently dealing with chronic pain/sciatica due to a herniated disc (L4) and thought I'd have to hang my hoop up... i've been so scared to do ANYTHING honestly! but tonight i picked it back up and was boogying to some favourite bangers which together reminded me how much I missed this form of exercise! always looking for better ways to improve my pain/strength so appreciate what you're doing and will be following your videos further going forward :)

I hypothesize that some people's spines and / or hips are out of whack a little bit (bent or twisted) and that hula hooping in the wrong direction can exacerbate the situation resulting in injury. Most people probably have an easy-to-do and hard-to-do spin direction. Perhaps spinning in the hard-to-do direction and getting better at it will help balance people out better and s/b the preferred direction of the spin.

Would it be okay to wear a waist trainer with it?

Hey there! Good to see you looking as comfortable as you did before the herniated disc came about. I appreciated you sharing the fact that you did other strengthening exercises before easing back into hooping. Hope your mom is doing well too. HUGS!🌞

I feel like this is a great alternative for me I'm going through progressive issues and my body I have fibromyalgia I also do have issues with my spine now. I do have a slight herniated disc I guess just bulge in The l4 l5 but this is an alternative for me to just stay active while I'm off of work I love getting a good sweat for 30 minutes following the workouts that they have with my smart hoop. I feel like it's promising I get to get sweaty without hurting myself too much I'm going to get a spinal injection in the next month I get flare-ups no matter what which sucks. But I really like this hoop I have the Swiss Activia smart hoop

Watching your video you are so right I make sure I hold my core tight that's why I like the hoop I bought it actually provides you some work out videos. I noticed a lot of people just posting on tiktok that they did the 30 day hoop challenge but it looks like none of them are doing a workout I appreciate your content I'm going to subscribe

Hello. I just discovered your channel. How did you injure your back? I have spinal retrolisthesis since 2013, two vertebrae are out of alignment less than 1mm, so my spinal doctor prescribed physical therapy, which helped, but I still have slight pain once in a while, and I wanted to take up hula hooping for core strength). My physical therapist said I can do any exercise that feels good to do, besides the ones he prescribed (deadbugs, bird dogs, waist marches, etc). The movement feels good, it’s just been 30 something years since I used a hula hoop, so I’ve been practicing a lot.
