So what are the different Support Roles in Technology? These roles range from Helpdesk and Service Desk, to Desktop and Application Support, to Systems and Network Administration.

What is what, and what does each role do?
IT support typically consists of three levels - Level 1, the first point of contact, resolves basic user issues, Level 2 handles more complex technical problems, and Level 3 provides specialized expertise for advanced and critical system challenges.

Hi Emilio, all your videos are very helpful and gives a clarity on how to progress in IT career. Can you please create a video on various issues that systems admin/Systems Engineer face it in real time while handling AD, DHCP, DNS servers and etc.

I'm currently working at Level 2 Desktop Support for about 8 months (the breadth of my IT knowledge has definitely expanded as i'm adjusting to using to AD, MECM, Intune, Entra/Azure, Powershell Scripting, Citrix, Asset Management, Some basic server/network patching), any tips on the best approach to eventually upskill myself to Level 3? I'm sort of treating my experience at Level 2 to increase my knowledge whilst getting a better a understanding of the various Level 3 roles out there (Infrastructure, Network, Cybersec, Cloud)
