New round of talks between Libyan factions to open way to elections

A third round of UN-brokered negotiations between opposing Libyan factions have been held in Cairo.

Lawmakers from Libya's eastern-based parliament and from the western- based High Council of State are discussing constitutional amendments ahead of the north African nation's elections. Only a day earlier there was intense fighting between two rival militias in the capital Tripoli.
