I feel like there’s 3 levels to interpreting this question
1- simple and logical, something that you find essential in typical life, like a phone or toys. For me it’d be my phone
2- an object that holds value, like the locket or diary or ashes. For me it’d be Pink Teddy, the teddybear my grandma gave me when I was a week old
3- a relationship or concept, like the pets, family, the sobriety. For me I’d say my absolute love and passion for creating and capturing inconsequential experiences and feelings through writing, photography, art, so on.
None of these interpretations are wrong, different people think differently and everyone has things that they value more or less than others. I love hearing the deep more emotional ones but can also resonate with the simple answers
