Ep.19 : How to be a Bengali - Mishtikhor 🤤 #indian #italian #culture
Показать описание
Bengalis are known for their sweet tooth. If there is a Bengali there will be desserts around! Sweetness is ingrained in this culture, be it the language that sounds sweet or literally the desserts from this culture. A proper Bengali meal is incomplete without a proper Bengali dessert also known as “sweets” therefore available in a “sweet shop” or mishti’r dokaan! Every Bengali has their favorite sweet from their favorite sweet shop that they swear by and every locality has to have a sweet shop. Period.
This series is meant for the non-Bengalis to keep a little bit of Bengali culture in their hearts and to bring a smile to the Bengalis.
When we say Bengali, we mean all Bengalis in the world, be it India, Bangladesh or anywhere in the world. These posts are about the emotions that a Bengali feels, which mostly remain the same in the hearts of all Bengalis, irrespective of the dialect being used to express those emotions.
As obvious, a Bengali doesn’t need to know “how to be a Bengali”, therefore it is only logical that a person who is not a Bengali (in this case Basil) can demonstrate the “how to’s” after learning the mannerisms and cultural aspects from a Bengali (in this case Mango). The intention is to bring out a little bit of Bengali culture with each episode in the series. Bengalis reading this do reach out to us and tell us an aspect of Bengali culture that you would like to put in front of the world and we will try work on them. Oh and don’t forget to follow to see how the series progresses, do remember We are because YOU are! 🤗
