▶ A PRACTICAL START WITH CLOUD / AWS

I highly recommend Stephen Mareeks AWS courses. If you’re a total beginner I recommend the “Certified Cloud Practitioner” otherwise the “Associate Developer”. If you plan to take the exam, I also highly recommend Jon Bonso’s practice exams:

Why I recommend Stephane and Jon’s courses:

▶ WRITE A CLOUD RESUME THAT LANDS YOU THE JOB

There is no better book which explain Tech Hiring and how to write a resume that passes tech screening processes than “The Tech Resume: Inside out”. I am referenced in the book and my review (Twitter) is on the homepage. It’s free if you’re unemployed and is priced based on your location.

▶ BUILD YOUR RESUME (AS A PROJECT) USING CLOUD TECHNOLOGY

The “Cloud Resume Challenge” is a 12 step. I love the challenge, I’m an active member of the Discord, and I have a whole playlist on YouTube to help you complete the challenge. There is a book (it’s optional), but I strongly recommend it. Get the “Cloud Resume Challenge” book:

I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. You have the best blog for anyone who is passionate about cloud technology and the path forward.

I started out taking a free class on Lynda.com and then followed that up with the AWS cloud essentials. But found when I tested my knowledge, I was seriously lacking something.

Thanks to Google, I was able to find your blogs. I felt like a kid in a candy store! All the questions I had you answered them, and more!

All the references that you've recommended, are 100% golden! I purchased four out of your recommendations for AWS cloud certification course and mock exams.

I went from flunking mock exams, to acing high 80''s and '90s consistently. I'm finishing mock exams in under 40 minutes consistently. Tonight I took the AWS practice test, as I plan on taking the exam on Monday afternoon. And I finished the 20 questions in less than 10 minutes with 100% score.

Seriously, without all your research and transparency, I'd be lost. And I know for a fact that all the time and dedication you've put into creating this amazing content, will continue to pay off for you in the long run. I keep digging into your website and finding more and more stuff!

I love cloud architecture. I love the designing element. I was afraid and the little intimidated about going head-on with code. And had no idea on how to go about that. Until I ran into your article on terraform, which was like, "God-sent" to me.

I do plan on going in depth and understanding it completely. I would be grateful to you if you could recommend a great solid source that I could learn everything I need to know and more. My biggest concern is finding a lecturer that will take the time to explain the concepts from ground, up.

I see terraform like mathematics. If you understand the formula, you can never go wrong. and that's what I want to do, I want to completely understand the syntax. once I understand the basics then Sky's the limit.

I know I'm rambling on here, but I'm hoping that someone else will stumble into this and know that you have amazing content and everything that anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in cloud computing, would be neck deep and information and directives, visiting your website.

To say the least I have subscribed, and liked. I have tons of shortcuts to your web content saved on my phone now. Lol.

Thanks again for all you do. And whenever you find yourself in Houston after this pandemic, please give me a heads up, I got you covered!

I'll hit you up on IG. I see your links.
