Blue Winged Olive Dry Fly CDC Spring Dun

This is a CDC Blue Wing Olive, BWO, dry fly. This fly is inspired by Davie McPhail. Although we have a long ways to go to get to his level we enjoy challenging ourselves. This fly will ride low in the surface film making it very productive. We love how natural this pattern looks compared to the real thing.

BWOs are a member of the Mayfly Genus Baetis family. There are so many different subspecies it is hard to find one pattern to match all of them. This pattern is a must have pattern in your BWO dry fly box. Watch carefully until the fish rise to take your fly!!!
