Edit:
One spec that would interest me as a decent player for FPS games on touch would be the values for the touch input delays or the reaction speeds of the display if you will. Once you used a gaming- or iPhone you can't really go back.

I'd buy it for reading. I need this 4:3 screen ratio. I ordered it. Added Mar 17: I received it yesterday. Really excellent for the price. It can be charged with any Type-C cable, but if you want to connect it to a PC to copy/move data you must use the factory Type-C cable (the one which comes in the box).

The Tablet really looks very premium and costlier than what it is priced. However, they should have gone with 6GB or 8GB or ram since they are marketing it as a premium device. 4GB is bare minimum Android now a days and 6 or 8GB Ram could have made it a really good multitasking device, which it is meant for because of the 4:3 ratio and big sized display.

Its super reliable and works very well on top of being affordable. I dont know why you call it a Ipad clone, what make apple an apple is, the OS and Chuwi is luckily, with Android. Its a tablet! Ps sound works in 4 corners.

£194 shipped from China to the UK. I'm very tempted. I have the S7+ as my workhorse but not ideal screen ratio for reading. Was thinking about an older ipad mini but didn't want to buy into the apple eco so this appears ideal for you tube, browsing, and reading ebooks and digital pubs etc. And at this price I wouldn't be nervous about travelling with it either. I'm looking for a tablet to read sheet music. I need a very decent size screen and a warm light setting that doesn't only use blue light. This tablet is the cheapest one I found for my goal. I might try it and see how it performs. Thank you for the review. You cover so many elements, I appreciate it.

The design is the most amazing factor offered by this tablet. Good for reading but I wish they should have included a sim card slot and stylus pen for students.

I dunno, the Tab A7 is around $200, and it has actual quad speakers. I do like the 4:3 AR, though.

It has a 2K screen so I don't understand why you're not playing media content at it's native 1440p. Of course it's going to lag at 4K but it doesn't have a 2160p screen and therefore nobody needs to ever select that with this tablet. 1440p is a little sharper than 1080p and this tablet shouldn't have any issues with lag or buffering at that resolution.

4:3 is fantastic, but this should have had gorilla glass, Chrome OS instead of Android (Chinese OEMs and Android updates don't mix), at least 6GB of RAM, and support for an active stylus. I would have jumped on this now if it did. The performance is more than fine for reading, note taking, streaming media, and web surfing. Wonder if the Bluetooth and Wifi are modern.

I wouldn't.
I have the HiPad X with 6/128GB RAM/ROM.
OTG is disabled when it's docked to the 5 pin POGO keyboard so you can't used peripherals like thumb drives or TV tuners. So I does the same, then that audio out the USB C port might be a nada, especially if it's digital headphones. They kinda deceive customers with those speaker cutouts. And if there's a pen bundle "deal", it might not really be one since the HiPen H3 I got with my tablet doesn't use the 2 buttons or the pressure sensitivity. It was just a $30 stylus that needs a AAAA to even use it. But to be fair, it might use palm rejection tho.

I like the display aspect ratio like iPad. Well-done chuwi. Hate Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei 's tablets aspect ratios.

The housing and screen nice. Other than the protruding camera. And lack of gorilla glass. But the underpowered specs and lack of ability for HD content, makes this a pass. This would have been a great tablet 3-5 years ago! Also no headphone jack...
