Hey Captain Lou. Love these vids with the cockpit view of other aircraft at cruising altitude. Makes everybody wish they had become a 747 pilot. I was the head program manager for Boeing, working the transfer of all Triumph SOW from Dallas to Tianjin, China, back in 2016-17. The plan was to keep the 747 alive long enough to bridge it to the glut of demand for cargo airplanes, that was forecasted to begin in 2019-2020. After 6-8 months of working relentlessly to get the Chinese (AVIC & Tianjin Aero Co) on-board with performing the statement of work, the decision to cancel that tremendous plane was made. I went back to managing the 737MAX rudder and 787 Inboard Flaps in Chengdu. In 2017, all us ex-pats were repatriated, but had we continued the 747 transfer, I would still be in China. Really loved our time overseas in Japan, China and India. Miss that old bird, the 747!
