separating the crew doesn't assure you Oda's not gonna add like a million other Elbaf characters and wirte stories around them, let's see how the Arc plays out

Brook is pretty much the only straw hat I can handle not having too much development or story. His coldness and MVP status from Whole Cake is carrying him for me

We all need to admit, the strawhats that need more screentime now (to shine) are: FRANKY (!), USOPP, Robin and Chopper.

I just worry he’ll break them up further. Nothing worse than he has them into 5 groups of two to three with some side characters. Then we can get a panel of each group per chapter instead of any full scenes

I would love for Oda to take this split to really hammer down the fact that most of (if not all of the rest) of the Strawhats just as capable as other Commander level characters

I like that everyone is doing theory videos on why Oda split the crew like this, only for 4 chapters from now he gets them all back together.

Well, he does this every arc. At this point, we know the deal. Luffy cant be around to defeat the big bad until its time

Zoro: No your too strong, run around and play for a a couple years
Robin: you know we like alot of foreplay for the arcs, we can bust right away

It's still unknown if Chopper is with the East Blue crew. For all we know he just wasn't show with the other group or Oda put him someplace else to have a mini adventure of his own. I personally want him to focus on just the East Blue crew for now and have them converge with Chopper and the rest after a good while.

All of the Post-Alabasta Straw Hats remind me of those optional team members you unlock in a JRPG who barely appear in the Main Story and consequently always end up on the bench while the Main Squad gets all the spotlight.

And honestly I'm really looking forward to the Robin group. Jimbei and Robin, Franky and Robin, Franky and Brook, Robin and Brook are all great duos within the crew. And Jimbei will likely match well with both Frank and Brook since all 3 of them stood up to Big mom without fear. They are also the four oldest members of the crew so they can be more mature and serious. There are probably other upsides that I can't think of right but but my point is that this group has so much potential but have suffered from not getting enough screentime and being outshone by the other strawhats. So I can't wait to see what they do.

Morj you're killing it recently. Managing to put out a ton of consistent content without jumping to insane theories and keeping a level head about things. Great watching your stuff man.

I think newer crew will meet Vivi so they get to know her and bond with her, and finally meet with old crew so everybody could cherish vivi together. Otherwise there is no friendship, no emotional stake for newer crew to actually feel something for Vivi.
In conclusion, newer crew with Vivi will meet together with older crew.

Oda can’t help himself with the side characters. He keeps throwing in 50 each arc

The real question is: Will Robin wear her cowboy hat again?

The biggest problem are the side characters. Strawhats cannot get spotlight if a cast triple the size of the crew is running around in the arc. Oda needs to bring those down to about the same size, 10 non strawhats at most including the villains

I'm just afraid we won't see Robin's group until they reunite to the other group at Elbaph
