Also very important to add passport as an identity document to your ukvi account so that E visa can be linked to it to avoid delays at the border after the BRPs expire later this year.

Great work Ritwik and kudos for making it in English so that many other immigrants can see that. Just to add a bit, only those android devices are compatible which has NFC feature in it. If anybody's cell phone doesn't have NFC, he can use the app on his friend's device which have NFC option.

To scan the BRP with an iPhone, you need to leave the phone in contact with the BRP before pressing "Scan." The phone must remain still, ideally placed on a table hands-free, without being moved during the process.

Hi Ritwik, very helpful video. Just a quick question- I haven’t received an official email from the UKVI to switch to e-visa yet (I’m aware that I’ve to tho), can I get this done before I formally get any communications from UKVI. I know a lot of people did, but not sure why it hasn’t come through for me yet.

Very informative video! Quick tip: If you lose your BRP, first report it as lost/stolen to UKVI. You'll get an email saying you only need to apply for an eVisa, no BRP replacement needed. Then, follow the eVisa process using your PASSPORT details instead of the BRP card.

What to do if you are applying for Schengen Visa presently and you need to put the info for BRP. Should you require to put old expiry date as mentioned on BRP card or as the one that the eVisa says ?

I have an acc uk vi with my passport and brp now the brp has changed psw and my expired passport has been renewed while signing in acc it shows information jot match or create new acc. As i have to log in through my old brp and passport to link evisa would this be wrong? Should i create a new acc . In this case

Quick question; ive got the evisa done and its all linked to my passport and good. My question is "how" do you prove you have an e-visa in other coutries at imigration before flying to uk? Is it just by showing your passport?? Other aiports ive flown from are usually not too aware and badly run.. should i also print something in case to show ?
