I just got back from a resort in Nayarit. I went to a resort that catered more to Mexicans than American/Canadians. I got an amazing room, all inclusive with a beach view balcony for $120 a night. It was top floor but it was a walk up (which I didn’t mind). I brought face sunscreen and used it on my entire body and I barely burned. I brought pesos for when I went off the resort- the little shops across the street wanted to charge me $15 USD for a tote bag but as soon as she learned that I had pesos, I got the bag and 2 shirts for 200 pesos. Also, use Santander ATMs. They charge the smallest amount I’ve seen for currency exchange.

I am 52. Did my first all-inclusive stay in Cancun in Feb...absolutely awesome. Why did I wait so long? Now, I plan to do Mexico 2x a year. Cancun is so relaxing. Lots of Canadians at the resort I stayed at (Panama Jack). Had a good time drinking with Canadians! The food was excellent.

Also, if you give a buck tip for each drink, the servers will visit you more often. Technically gratuities are included but additional tips brings better service.

I hope you are well and safe still in Mexico. I discovered your channel by mistake or luck, I should say luck and wish to congratulate you for the good work done! From few days I am watching you every evening for few hours and have learned so much, like I have been there. I just saw your "41 tourist scams in Mexico" that is so informative. Your videos don't make me tired and I like the transparency and the openness you talk, comparing things with good details and examples. Your driving videos were very good along with the one about the Mexican visas. By the way, like an American/Canadian, I wish to tell you Americans are permitted in Canada for up to 6 months too like in Mexico. Just, your Arizona back car plate, (like in Quebec) is equally good in Canada, (like in Arizona), along with your Arizona insurances for whatever time you are in Canada. No police will stop you ever in Canada because you only have a back plate. In fact, on my Colorado registered car I have never installed the front plate from more than 10 years. I put a reflective bald eagle vanity plate instead. Never even a question in U.S. or Canada about. In Mexico I see is another story...

We have been to many all-inclusive resorts and one tip is to go for the upgrades. That will help make it a true all-inclusive. But, if you want the better wines at dinner it will cost you. If the upgrade includes a butler make sure to use his or her services but tip at the end of your vacation.

Excellent presentation and warnings. I was impressed with your coverage on time shares. I attended a presentation once just to be nice to the person asking me to attend (so they would get a commission). At the presentation they really put the pressure on and make you feel really bad if you don't buy. They even get angry at you. Since then I've stayed at beach hotels before I ever consider a resort again.
