“7/10 bec i thought it was a croissant.” what’s that got to do with the overall quality review of the pastry?

For my fellow Americans, €15 is equivalent to $16.49. You're welcome

You have to eat a true croissant because it's not a croissant, it's a fried brioche (so, like a donut). And it's not a tarte, it's a cookie and they sell them as cookies. I'm french 😉

As a true French girl 15€ for 3 pastries is you can get 3 pastries for good quality at your local bakery for less than 5-10€

Edit : I didn't expect my comment to go like this 😭 thank you all for the likes and all the comments, I really appreciate when all of you give your opinions and feedbacks 😁

That’s cause you went to the coffee shop, the main pastry place on opera can get crazy busy
You got the donut and cookie, the other one has tarts and croissants
Edit: also the desserts are 17€ each +

actually you didn’t go to the main bakery but it’s cheaper and more accessible version. Hence why the prices were more affordable and why there was no queue.

The Cedric grolet coffee shop is NOT the main shop where he sells his famous pastries and trompe-l’œil.

That's because you went to his cafe, they don't serve his pastries there, only the baked goods haha
You did in fact buy the donut (croissant shaped) and thz cookies (pizza shaped), not the tarts lol
His cafe is honestly more affordable than his shops

$15 for those is amazing!! Im actually even more impressed that he has made them affordable even with all his success and fame. It costs ten bucks here for just 6 donuts at the store, generic bland donuts. Id be thrilled to try something made by him. Thanks for sharing!

In 2022, pastries in Paris were 2-3€ (forgot where but at the famous place that starts with an ‘L’. So 15€ for 3 is kind of a lot, but that raspberry one had me salivating! Hope I can go back to Paris soon.

I am french and I think that the vanilla croissant is more likely to be tropezienne
