In 1967 HHC 1/68 Armor in Baumholder, West Germany pulled an M24 out of the base junk yard for static display guarding the barracks. I was the Battalion Maintenance wrecker operator and helped place the tank. Those of us tasked with the project were fascinated by twin Caddy engines in the old Chaffe.

Look at the bright side, at least they annoyed Godzilla in his early movies.

My uncle had a friend that went to a grocery store once and had a discussion with a one-armed woman purchasing a watermelon whose brother drove a Chaffee in ww2.

One of these is on display at the State Central Museum, Shillong, Meghalaya, India. It was one of the last 66 Chaffee tanks to see combat in 1971 Indo-Pakistan War and was captured by the Indian Forces.

The Chaffee looks like a more modern tank that you'd see during the cold war. And it packs the punch of a Sherman? That's pretty nasty.
