Zoom Guitar Lab 3.0: Introduction

Hi everyone, this is John from Zoom and in this video we will introduce you to Zoom Guitar Lab 3.0

Guitar Lab is a free software used with the Zoom G5n, G3Xn, G3n and B3n. It includes both a Patch Manager and an Effects Manager and gives you access to tons of new effects and exclusive patches from our growing library of creators.

Simply plug your G5n into an internet-connected computer, power on the pedal, and open the Zoom Guitar Lab software.

Zoom offers updates featuring new amp+cabinet combinations, stompboxes, and preset patches from Zoom Creators.

With the new Guitar Lab 3.0 application for Mac and Windows, you have access to Zoom’s library of amp models, effects and patches.

Guitar Lab will display your patches the same way they appear on your pedal’s display.

You can add/delete effects, adjust parameters, rearrange your effects chain, backup & organize their patches, and more.

Effect View now includes detailed parameter descriptions for each effect, eliminating
the need to reference the detailed Effects List document.

An integrated tuner display allows users to keep their eyes on the screen at all times.

Guitar Lab 3.0’s advanced UI monitors your CPU usage while you edit for maximum efficiency.

For user convenience, the new Clipboard function memorizes up to four effects with custom parameters, so you can copy and paste them onto other patches.

The News section contains newly added effects and patches, as well as demo sounds, all available for download directly from the app. Once downloaded, you can easily load them to your pedal through Guitar Lab.

I have the G3N -when i bought it I didn`t think that it would impress me much, until i tried it, i was seriously impressed with the fx especially when i used the amps and cabinets. Keep it up guys very well done 👍

Hey ZOOM, is there any chance that you make a new firmware that would increase the maximum number of simultaneous effects for a single patch of G3n, which is now only seven? The average processor power used for one patch with seven effects in chain is below 50 points, and you declared that processor in G3n can handle up to 100 points, the same as G5n! Why not make a possibility for nine effects in each chain, like it is in G5n, which it seems have the same processor?

Awesome video! In my Zoom labs in the Effect Pool section I have a group of effects called "unknown" and among those effects are the KP4X12, GEMINOS, VIOLETDS, DOU_PHA, SOFTECHO and DISTPLUS.
How can I unlock those effects? I really need the Geminos effect

Nice! Are the additional amps and effect free or do you purchase them? And do they replace what is in the device or just add more to the hardware devices number of models?

I like the Line 6 Helix because of their patch editor. Now zoom released their own and I just bought my new G3XN. This will be awesome

A atualização do firmware para a versão 3.0, eliminou uma falha que tinha na G5n. Na troca de um patch para outro, o volume não respeitava a posição do pedal de expressão . Essa falha foi eliminada, mas agora o pedal corta o tail do reverb e delay.

I find the knobs in Guitar Lab really difficult to get ahold of with my mouse, is there some way to change those to sliders or numeric?
