Thanks for the shout out Michael, yes family time is important and you don't want to miss out on these years, and 2 channels would take a lot more time, so I would recommend that you stick with the wild camping but maybe shoot some campervan stuff to include as B-Roll and you talk about it when you are away in the tent and show a few snippets. Besides, I don't need the competition of another campervan channel 😉🤣. Mike.

Excellent. Glad the Taiji was not terminally leaking. Even closer to buying one now!

yeh …. it’s quite common for rain to get through the reinforcing stitching on a Lanshan 2 … looks like i happened on the Taji as well a daub of seam sealer on those points will sort that out 👍👍… but it still did stand up to some horrendous rain and wind straight out of the box so i call that a win …. nice video and great interview w Daley the other day thanks for sharing 👍👍

Nice camp Mike, camped in the same spot as me, thanks for the shout out👍 them chicken sausages were big weren't they 😂😂 the weather is crazy up there sometimes imagine being at the top in that weather would be a test for the tent, I bet u was happy with the free car wash also 😂😂 keep the campervan just for the family, u don't want to be videoing everything u want to be chilling with the family, looking forward to the next adventure atb nick 👍

Great stuff Mike. Enjoyed your interview too! Coincidentally I’m from the same area as you, in my 50’s & have a 5 year old son who I took on his first camp last week on Dartmoor. He loved it. All the best👍

Another ace video adventure. Whereabouts in Wales (roughly) was that? Regarding the campervan. I would just to the odd campervan video every so often. What sort of camper did you get? I once had a T25 many moons ago - loved it.

To be fair for a fairly cheap tent it did bloody well, bit of seam sealing and it's sorted 👏👌

Hey Mike, the weather was absolutely stunning at the start of the vid, perfect day for a camp 🤔 I've camped in Wales a couple of times now, and definitely plan on returning soon 👌 I reckon if you threw the odd van video in on this channel it wouldn't dilute it at all, then that would leave the majority of van trips for family time 👌👍 shame folk have to leave stuff behind, I'm forever picking stuff up too 😡 great spot for a pitch by the Tarn 👍 that stove looks a cracker, the mre's are great value for money, especially the 24 hour packs 👍 big change to the weather in the morning, nothing worse than packing up in the wet 😳 a nice Roy tent helps though 👌 and the weather gets worse still 😳 I'm surprised the tent leaked, as it looks well sealed 😥 catch you soon pal, atb Paul 🙏🏕️🏕️🏕️😁

Greetings from the states. If you don't want to start another channel, which I wouldn't either, you can always start a playlist on this channel for your camper van. Then you have the best of both worlds. Great video by the way. New sub here.

Fabulous location for camp despite the crappy weather the following morning. Shame the tent wasn’t fully waterproofs but maybe seam sealing it might improve its performance in the rain. 😀

Hi, do you recommend using a seam sealer? If so which 1

Yet another great adventure. Pity about the tent leaking and the crap weather the following day but at least your wife’s car got a clean… should have been clean anyway.. isn’t that what Sundays are for. Looking forward to the next vid 👍

Enjoyed that Mike. Great location but bit of a let down for you re that leaky bit of the Taiji tent. Good work doing all the packing up inside and then final flysheet scramble! Cheers - Ben

quality video Michael really enjoyed your camp shame about having to seam seal certain areas of the tent but it could have been worse, you must have known it would rain being in south Wales 🤣🤣🤣

I subbed & liked. I have subbed to a few of your country men " wild camping / solo camping " video's . & what i have noticed the most, is you get 4 seasons in 1 day. ! Do you get months that are sunny & free of rain for a few days.? are you Ex military or just like camping ? It must get depressing with it raining most of the time . I cannot understand peoples mind set, they bring all there supplies but.... don't take the rubbish back with them . It's going to weigh next to nothing to take it back . Nice video by the way, No creepy noises ?

I have recently rewatched your video and I am wondering which, between the Taji and the star river provides the better living space. The Taji seems to have a great volume but the star river looks as if it has a better length ratio for taller people. Although on paper aren't they both 215cm ? Food for thoughts definitely. I do like the look of the Taji.
