Sir Keir Starmer is set to face a grilling in Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs) after Labour faced criticism over cuts to winter fuel payments for pensioners.

The party is set to launch the Renters Reform Bill in the House of Commons today, but the long-waited legislation has been overshadowed by the winter fuel row.

Rachel Reeves also warned earlier today that “the Budget on 30 October will require difficult decisions on tax, on spending, and on welfare”.
