How To Deactivate Facebook Account In 2015 | How Do I Deactivate My Facebook Account

You will want to click on account settings in the top right hand corner and then click on security and then click on deactivate your account.

From there you want to click the option that best fits your situation for wanting to deactivate your account. Once this is done you will have to type in your password and then have to fill out a capcha.

After this your facebook account should be deactivated.

how many times can you deactivate, and how frequently between each time etc?
would facebook delete your account if you do it a number of times?

Thank for the video Aaronsdecker. I understand all your instructions however I am getting this error message after ive typed in my password to deactivate "Please select a reason for deactivating. If you choose "Other", please explain your reason" - Further Information Required. I have selcted a reason and i have also tried other and left my reason and again it will not deactivate my account!! really annoying!! hope you can help.

hi there i think my facebook account was being hacked so i deactivated it thinking it would be deleted but have since seen you have to delete account, i deactivated on 15th july and even have the time it was confirmed what i want to know is if i was to reactivate it will i be able to tell if there has been anyone who has even logged in or done anything on my account even if nothing is shown would really appreciate an answer on this please tx
