It's a diesel folks, its not just about 0-100, its about drivability. Back to back the petrol 2.5 feels much slower in everyday applications.

Subaru should bring the diesel to the US... with the Outback's already impressive 32 MPG (with AWD) that absolutely slaughters the Explorer's 30MPG with the 2.3L EcoBoost, there's completely no doubt that the Outback should return 40 MPG highway if they brought the diesel here to the US! Like this comment if you agree!

The diesel actually sounds more refined than the petrol. Performance is decent but I don't think revving is what they are about. I like it.

I think it is about perspective and expectations. You cannot expect from small maltezer dog to guard your house right? Instead you buy Rot, or Cane Corso and then we can talk about guarding house. It is same here. You cannot expect a family outdoor comfortable car to be supreme in 0-100 it is not meant to do such a thing. This like you go to VW GTI video about that car failing to anything off road and then you said "wow this is shitty car with zero ground clearence" but actually not because it is not meant to go off road, but for that car we can talk about it being slow or fast in 0 - 100. I see people doing this thing all the time on reviews and comments and it drives me crazy.
And now back to car, for the purpose of what is it supposed to do, this is excellent combination of clearence, power and torque. if you put engine with 190HP which will have as affect 2 seconds less (for example) in 0-100, then some other people would come and talk about it not being fuel efficient. This car is very good for its purpose and thats it.

Wow that's slow... It would drive me nuts, which is a shame because the rest of the car is pretty good.
