very nice design...who knew you can cut a roll of paper like that? i guess cut offs can be used too, maybe to mask things off...or note paper !!! stay well Eric.

I'm just getting back into woodworking. Was an Electronics Technician for over 30 years. I started at 17. So it's good seeing a younger person sharing their knowledge. This is the second video of yours I've seen. Keep it up.

I like the idea of not having to run around for a cover for the bench top. Very practical and right on the bench. Love it.

Nice job. One thing I'd recommend is a dowel instead of threaded rod. Only for cost. I'm tight on space so I'll be building a fold up bench but will incorporate something like this for sure.

Great project Eric! Thanks for what you do and for sharing it with usl.

I like the end of bench mounting. One observation - with that threaded rod sticking out past the edge of the bench, you will get some bruises on your hip and likely ripped pants. I agree with one of the commenters below - a dowel might work better.

Since there is hardly any axial forces on the threaded rod (not much front to back wiggle), you could maybe replace the nut &washer on the back side with a T nut. That should make installing a new roll a little easier as you do not have to fiddle both between the wall and the paper roll holder. Just tightening the front nut should be sufficient to keep the rod from unscrewing itself.

I was just wondering y you used the threaded rod and not a dowel all so you're video's are inspiring

Eric I love the vids, and since fidget spinners are the big thing right now you should build a homemade wooden one!

Hi Eric, I just want to give you few tips regarding your video about charging station and you mention on that video that it took 4 hours to make upper part of the charging stand and  if you use larger bit it will be faster ( that might speedup the process a bit but not very much) your electronic might be slow ( stepper motors drivers are slow) . I have three CNC machines (you can see on my YouTube channel) and my CNC machine makes 8 stands in 15 minutes so I give you few tips that will speed up your CNC machine (it will not be fast as mine CNC machines are, but it will increase the speed for your CNC machine a lot). First don't use LAPTOP to run CNC because the output from LAPTOT is very weak, use desktop computer they have a lot of output power thru out parallel port, if you use Windows XP to run Mach3 change that to Window 7 and that will speed up your CNC machine a lot. If you use Mach3 to run your CNC machine then on Mach3 you can increase the speed for your CNC machine stepper motors (but don't go crazy with speed  because increasing to much speed can break the shafts and knock out the block bearings balls. Increase the speed maybe for 30% to 40%). And use 1/4" spiral bit. What is the brand of your CNC router table and what electronic runs that CNC machine.
