Attorney here! I specialize in criminal law, but here’s some general knowledge:

There are limits on what a waiver can cover — regardless of how it’s worded. In this case, a waiver would probably cover game-related injuries. However, if MrBeast was negligent and created unsafe conditions (that had nothing to do with games), then he can be sued.

Example: A sprained ankle would be covered if it happened while someone was running in a game — but not if they were standing on a poorly built podium that collapsed.

Also, it sounds like most contestants were mislead about the games. They thought they were signing up for the safe version of Squid Games (that could be won be anyone). But, instead, they got thrown into this weird, survivalist version of a men’s sporting event.

So, again, if MrBeast actively lied to the contestants, the contract probably won’t save him — especially if the judge thinks it was designed to be misleading.

The same goes for gender discrimination and sexual harassment. It’s unacceptable.

Here in my hometown (Toronto) Mr. Beast has been building a miniature town for something video-related. Pictures leaked online. I sincerely hope a stop is put to it, because I know more contestants could be abused. Multiple more lawsuits may be coming, and maybe even criminal charges.

The fact that Amazon is being dragged into this because of Mr Beast's actions, should hopefully persuade other large companies away from associating with Mr Beast in future.

The sad part is Mr Beast is a company with limited liability, meaning the shareholders are protected from law suits, debts and financial losses. So, even if Jimmy Donaldson hits rock bottom, he's likely to get away with the things that happened under the Mr Beast brand because he's one of the shareholders. The brand itself could be valued at nearly a billion dollars. With the ad revenue of millions per month, I think Jimmy Donaldson would have had plenty of assets and properties mortgaged that he needs to repay with the monthly ad revenue generated, so yes on paper he could be a billionaire but without positive cash flow, he has to sell everything. If he's smart and thinks everything's about to fall apart, his accountant would've syphoned off cash from the company before law suit or bankruptcy.

kinda sad to see what mr beast has become, i remember watching his videos of him doing stupid stuff like counting to 100k or like reacting to cringe intro's. now mr beast isnt even just a person, its a whole company. God bless to those who didn't sell their soul for money like pewdiepie, jacksepticeye and dantdm and many more. Don't you just love the feeling of maturing together with the youtuber like how pewds used to do happy wheels then covered drama and memes, doing disstracks to anyone thats gonna pass over his subcount then we finally have this retired pewds who just does what he enjoys now instead of selling his soul to youtube to keep up with the algorithm.

The fact that they claim that the contestants were all from the Nevada is actually a huge issue. That's one of the very highly enforced regulations about doing any type of production in Nevada.
